The Summer is short, especially in the UK, so I always try to make the most of the good weather while it’s here, that means plenty of bike rides, time with the family, trips out, camping and barbecues!
You may ask yourself, what does this have to do with photography? The reason I have decided to pursue a career in photography is not only because I am passionate about taking images but because it offers a better work life balance for myself and my family, I am writing this in the garden with Maggie playing on her slide and bouncing on the trampoline.
I do thoroughly enjoy visiting many of our summer shows and events in our area, as many of you know I am closely involved with the Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show I find shows like these are such good social events and from a photographic point of view offer many photographic opportunities.
I have always been extremely keen on cycling, we’ve visited the Tour of Britain when it visited Dartmoor back in 2012, (we didn’t see Wiggo as he had retired by then!) and I regularly cycle to Dorchester when doing my part time work for Magna Housing Association. I often use the bike to do deliveries locally to clients in the area, trips to Wyke Regis, Portland and Upwey are common.
